Do new Subarus come with factory security systems? If so, are they any good?

Both of mine (03 Outback, 06 WRX) have security - I don't recall if it was an 'option', quite likely it was on the Outback.
they have been trouble free. The 'beeper' could be louder on the Outback.
you can also upgrade them from the stock level, puts a motion sensor and a hood switch (i believe)
Are you talking about 3rd party upgrade or dealer option?
