subwoofer on legacy

Don't know about the newer models, but if it is in the same camp as the ones offered up thru '04 or so:

It's not too good; unsophisticated 6 inch driver, with probably 25-30W amp. Runs from speaker-level inputs. Realistically, I'd have to say it compliments the rest of the "upgraded" stereo package; sounds OK as long as you don't push it hard.

Save your money and get real stuff if you like to turn it up; probably make a nice start toward a _real_ system for the cost of the upgrade.
