Anyone know a surefire way to gettin rid of sap ? ( other than leaving the door ajar : ) Anything on the market ?

The orange based cleaner that they sell at Walmart (and lots of other places I'm sure) does a good job dissolving stuff without harming the finish below. Walmart's version is called Orange Blast.
Cut the tree down.
Thanks Null. I had what I think was glue from freshly installed centerline reflectors that I have been trying everything on. WD40 on a paper towel and repeated thumbnail pressure got it off in about a minute.
