I have four month old 2004 3.0 outback. I have noticed that when the car is cold and reviving high that the steering seems to have some extra vibration to it when idle. Amost like a vibration growl. I had a 2000 2.5 Outback and this vibration was not present. Is this normal for a 3.0 6 cylinder?

Mine never did that -- until the last time I took it to the dealership. Then it did exactly what you're describing. I think it was maybe a heat shield (?), but I took it back for something else and asked them to please make it stop doing that :) They did.
