Where is the keyless entry receiver? 2001 Outback

I have a 2001 Outback and have to push the buttons on the remote numerous times to get the car to unlock. Scary.. what if I can't get into my car someday!!! Yes, I changed the battery but it didn't change a thing.. I still have the same problem.

Where is the receiver for the keyless entry? I want to see if something's blocking it. What else can it be?

If its like previouse models it located between the map reading lights. A common mistake (which I was also guilty) is to poit the key at the door handle. Point the key throuh the window towards the map reading light.
