1995 Grand Am Intake Gasket Type

Hi Everyone! I'm looking for a little help with purchasing an intake manifold gasket for a 1995 Grand Am SE V6. The parts supplier has two different gasket sets for the make, model, year, and type of Grand Am I have. This is how each is described:

Choice 1: w/Ball & Pivot rocker arms; 1st Design; w/o push rod guides on int. gskt

Choice 2: w/Roller rocker arms; 2nd Design; w/push rod guides on int. gskt

I don't know which Grand Am type I have. Does anyone know how I might be able to definatively tell which gasket set would be correct (Short of actually taking the intake out and examining it)? Thank you so much for your help.

What's the 8th digit of your VIN?

If you pull the front valve cover you can see if it has roller rockers or ball pivot rockers. You will also be able to see the "guides" molded into the gaskets. Use the upgraded metal gaskets.

Get the Fel-Pro MS98004T gasket set, it fits both versions of the

3.1.

The 8th digit on the VIN is the letter "M".
