Hi a buddy brought in a 1997 GMC van 5.7L "R" engine to change a leaking intake and now it will not start. He claims he put the distributor back the same way it came out. Even if he puts the engine at TDC it will not start. Isn't there a timing port (single wire) that needs to be disconnected? Thanks for any insite.
