The ABS light is often (not always) on, especially before the car warms up. The mechanic says the brake system is mechanically fine (not worn, low on fluid, or anything).
I see people who offer a service to "rebuild" the ABS control unit. What are they doing? I normally do my own electronic repairs -- are they just replacing a common semiconductor or something in it? Any specifications on line anywhere?
