I ask you what miracle you are expecting to occur that will change the current reality and you best response is some childish drival about "Big Oil".

Ah, you're breakin' my heart! You consider yourself so smart but you ask dumb questions. The main obstacle, as you obviously know, to fully electric cars is that the energy density of batteries will have to increase to at least double what it is now for most applications. You may consider that to be a miracle but I don't. Now that we've cleared that up, we have nothing to discuss. I'll let you have the final word, it's been peachy! :-)

Naive.

The energy density of production batteries, that is batteries that come off a production line and don't just exist as a gushing press release, need to improve by an order of magnitude.

The energy density of batteries is a technical obstacle, but the major obstacle is buyer acceptance which is based mostly on price and capability.
