Can I paint the black trim on my car doors ... white???

Oct 14, 2006 1 Replies

I have a 95 Integra, and its all white except for the door ding guards on the sides of the doors... they are black. I wanted to know if I get auto touch up paint that matches my car, and use that on the plastic/rubber bumpers and have it look alright???

Any suggestions or ideas??

There are many available touch-up paints for plastic. You may have to experiment to find one compatible with the particular plastic in your door guards. It may take several coats to cover the dark bumper.

Expect even the best white paint to chip off with time and bumping, exposing sections of the underlying black bumper. A more permanent solution might be to replace the black bumper with a new white or gray one.

Good luck.
