chatter from transmission normal?

i have an 06 jetta with the audi (electronically automated) manual transmission, dsg? the computer needs to totally disconnect the driveline during panic stops, and i cant really tell if it is or is not. there is a violent chatter sensation coming from the trans during panic stops. is this something the dealer should fix, or do all cars with this trans do the same thing?

If you have antilock brakes, they chatter when panic stopping.

It is simple to tell if the driveline is disconnected or not. Does it stall? If so, it's still connected.
