So I was driving down the interstate the other day, doing about 70 and accelerating in the passing lane - all of a sudden, the car starts to lose power and shake; I look in the rearview mirror and there's smoke pouring out the back. I got off the interstate in a hurry, thinking the engine is about to explode, but by the time I'm down to 40 mph everything is normal, and has beeen for maybe 100 miles now.
Just trying to figure out if the car is about to die, or if maybe there's something I could do, or if I there's a chance I could do nothing and drive it another year. It's using maybe a quart of oil per 1000 miles, and the losing power/shaking bit happened before (couple months ago), going up a hill at about 70. It was at night though, so I couldn't see if there was any smoke - at the time I thought it was maybe a fouled sparkplug.
Thanks for any advice, Jonah
