The moral: Flame-retardant treatments that work are cheap to produce. Flame-retardant treatments that work and do NOT intoxicate people are expensive to produce, but will cut down on long-term healthcare costs.

With all due respect, these people have made suggestions and raised alarms, but the case is far from solved.

Many times this sort of environmental group is alarmist rather than scientific in nature. In that they managed to spell "fluorescence" incorrectly, one might have slight misgivings.

If there are seriously detrimental chemicals involved, then by all means the situation should be remedied.

Horse hockey. There is a huge difference in flame retarding an arm rest versus a child's pajamas that might be chewed on. Their type chemophobia is annoying.
