Sneaking in under the wire would be the AMC Eagle -- a few 1988 models were produced, though production actually ceased in December of 1987.

Although pretty much forgotten by most people at this point, as far as I know the Eagle was the first mass-market passenger car available in the U.S. with full-time all-wheel-drive. (The first Eagles went on sale in

1979 for the 1980 model year.) Here's one place to go for info on 'em:
