Hello my car did not pass emissions, my mechanic replace the egr valve but this did not fix the problem. Has anyone had a similar problem any recommendations? thanks.

Is the check engine light on? If so, what are the diagnostic codes? And why did your mechanic replace the EGR valve?

Not without seeing the measurements. What were they, how far out of limits were they, and how?

That's not what I asked. That's the error code that the computer recorded, not the measurements of the exhaust that the emissions analyzer recorded.
The emissions analyzer measures a lot of different things. Knowing what measurement is out of range and how far it is out of range is necessary to know what caused it.

That's not a valid code. OBD-II codes are 5 characters. It was probably P0400, but we need to know for certain.
