Corolla's now on the chopping block. Possible problem with the power steering, causing them to veer un-expectedly. Considering a recall. So far, 100 complaints.

Excerpt: "NHTSA says that it receives approximately 30,000 complaints each year, and goes about reviewing each and every one on a daily basis. Of those thousands of complaints, some eventually result in action being taken by either NHTSA or the automakers. In the case of the Corolla, it is far too early to determine if there is actually a widespread problem."

Excerpt: "NHTSA currently is conducting 40 investigations of possible defects, three of which involve Toyota, Transportation said. Over the last three years, NHTSA said its probes have resulted in 524 recalls involving 23.5 million vehicles."

The witch-hunt continues...

It's not about having problems. That happens with all manufacturers. It's about knowing and then concealing them.
