I have a MAXX-78N from 2008 that may be going bad, and I'd like to take advantage of the pro-rated warranty, but my UPC / barcode number is wiped away.

It was in the truck when I bought it used, so no receipt. :(

If you have a MAXX-78N in your vehicle, what is your UPC / bar code number?

Mine starts with "06811" then is unreadable.

Thanks!!

You can always go to Walmart and get it off of their batteries they have in stock.

Also, I'm not sure a battery that old will give you much back anyways.

Oh yeah if you have a smart phone get the barcode app and scan it. It should give you the #.

Wal-Mart may have the most liberal return policy in retail, but the warranty is probably going to amount to 20% of the original price, assuming 5 years.

I would just take it back to a WM with an auto service center and ask what they will do for you, preferably still installed in the truck, if possible.

I wouldn't try to bullshit them, you don't have a receipt so you are at their mercy, and I would approach it from that perspective.

When it comes to batteries, there aren't a whole lot of good options. -----

Go to the store and have the TLE test the battery and charging system, they will do it free. If the battery tests bad have them change it out. They will see it is a WM one and try to run the info for warranty. Without paper they may still help you. They may not as well.
