I see OnStar(tm) now offers telemetry email now from ones vehicle, so you can see your car's performance status without having to even get in the car. Anyone buying that? How do you all feel having your cars information taken into a large database like that? Just curious.

Can't imagine why anyone would buy Onstar in the first place let alone paying for an enhancement.
You got to give information to get information Ed. The doctor has to ask lots of questions and do some tests before he knows what's wrong with you too. I don't think OnStar is tracking your trips to the casino and mailing an email of your exploits to the wife. I don't have OnStar and can't see myself paying for it, but many folks do see the benefits in the information and security provided. I'm not worried about a big database with my car performance in there.
The day is not far off when the car's telemetry will be tied into a GPS and the car will email law enforcement that you've been speeding. You'll also get your citation by email and you'll be able to pay it over the Web. Ain't technology wonderful?

If WE can think it....who's to say its not already on its way? hmmm, maybe the smog test people can then just check my car from the remote site and mail me the correct parts when I need them . I wonder if I would have to pay a test fee for that? :) Somehow I think I will.
