I hope somebody knows what causes this. Lateley my altima is starting

My first thought was fuel pump pressure problems, or maybe plugged fuel filter.

How would you diagnose those fuel related causes? I forgot to mention also that there is a new battery, and the voltage across the terminals tests at 12.2, and drops to 11.2 when cranking the engine, that would seem to eliminate just about all the electrical stuff outside of the coil, wouldnt it?

Doesn't really eliminate possible electrical causes. Fuel filter replacement on any car is a good first step. It usually costs very little.

Most cars now use fuel injection and these systems are very sensitive to fuel pressure. If it is too low, they just don't start and run. Measure fuel pressure with a gauge intended for the job at the fuel rail (assuming this applies to your car).

If you're getting good fuel pressure, then you can move to check the fuel injectors themselves, the ignition, etc.
