Sentra clutch problem, help!

I have a 94 Nissan Sentra. I had the clutch replaced a little over a year ago. I've noticed over the past week there has been a slight change in the feel of the clutch, it was going down easier than before. Last night I was driving and when I pushed the clutch in the pedal seemed to just "break" and it's stuck to the floor. I pulled it back up with my hand and let go and it just snapped back against the floor.

From what I've read, I'm HOPING this is just a broken clutch cable or

some kind of broken spring. I can't afford to replace this clutch again, hopefully that's not what I'll have to do since it was just replaced last year. Any thoughts??

What you describe certainly sounds like a broken clutch cable.

Agreed, broken cable. Not too expensive to fix. Make sure the new one is well lubricated -- I had a new cable put in once, and it only lasted a year.

If it's a hydraulic setup check the slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder.
