Short in mazda protege

The glow lights (lights for spedometer/drive/reverse etc.) are not working. I was told i have a short. Any chance i could fix this myself?

yes, it can be fixed. electrical problems are tough to diagnos, if its a fuse that keeps blowing it is probably a short. you need to find the short before you try new fuses and do not put in a bigger fuse. if the fuse is still good it might be lack of voltage or a bad ground. If your good with a dmm then you can test the circuit, you will need to obtain a wiring schematic on that circuit all its connector, fuses, splice and ground locations. good luck to you
