Risking everything they own and then some, is an occupational hazard of pioneers and innovators. God bless those guys!

eh? borrowing money to pay rent doesn't mean you're going to be a billionaire - it's the daily reality for hundreds of thousands of americans who are in hock to the paycheck loan sharks and living in crushing poverty.

You're adding your own little spin to my post. This is rude. I never said that pioneers and innovators were billionaires. Nor did I say that only pioneers and innovators had financial difficulties. Feel free to mold your own posts into your likeness, just don't mess with mine.

of course - what do you think a public forum is for???!!

no it's not. you're posting to a public forum which exists for public debate. if you don't like debate or can't handle it, then use private email to a sycophant who can't think for themselves.

you said "Risking everything they own and then some, is an occupational hazard of pioneers and innovators." as if it's their exclusive preserve. it's not.they just happen to be the ones you read about.

dude, i'm writing my own posts, and they're clearly labeled as such. if that confuses you, you might just be in the wrong place.

Anyway, your analysis of my post was mostly fiction - dude.

no, dude, it wasn't even slightly fiction - it was merely uncomfortable and not what you were hoping for.

as to why you'd fling your teddy over comment on a public forum, that's something else you need to think about.

Tesla exists on the government taking money from the productive people and giving it to them.

here's another one for you:

  1. k is much less than his p,r, agent would charge to get him the same exposure.

  1. k puts him, yet again, in front of another potential government [taxpayer] boondoggle. "let's get elon to manage [i.e. siphon taxpayer money out of] this" the politicians all cry.

it's a fabulous return on investment if you're sociopathic enough to go for it.

Sorry, I'm gonna have to ignore your trolling ass.

You might be right about this. However, we still need innovative people and people with guts to move things forward. I'm going to avoid a discussion about this company because I don't really know that much about the subject.

I am innovative. That's how I make a living. Where's my several hundred million dollar government check?

Oh, that's right, I was stupid and didn't understand how to ride a fed created dotcom bubble to make myself wealthy enough to get senators on speed dial.

those "payday loan" places are money making machines. People HAVE to have an iPhone, iPad, and 50" Plasma TV in their foreclosed house, so they will continue. GW

I feel your pain but you're no Tesla. Tesla, the man, not the car.

P.S.: Don't bitch to me if you're not happy with your life. I ain't your wife. Don't try to drag me into your political rant. I ain't interested.

You'd envision and worship robber barrons as heroes. You're a mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging moron.

$4 million, $600 million, whatever. Public finds are all about who you know not what you do or make.

Big deal - Usenet denizens like you think everybody's a moron. Who's the real moron - a guy that admires innovation and the pioneer spirit or some wacko clown that believes people worship thieves and can't get off the politics toilet? Your knuckles probably have callouses on them too.

I might be the new guy but I'm not cannon fodder for you angry Usenet types. I won't play your game of trolling so you can engage people that you deem yourself superior to. I'm here to increase my knowledge, not provide you with entertainment.

The reality is that you don't know shit about me - just try making disparaging personal remarks about me and watch what happens - hope you enjoy being ignored - dude. :-)

An ironic and excessively wordy, pathetically feeble attempt at a convincing rebuttal by a cretin who's gleaned precisely nothing from the lessons of history, perceives himself as a victim and who will in fact be the deservedly ignored one.

You're the one talking up how innovative and risking of his own money this Musk guy is. It's BS and I am sick of hearing it. From one automotive forum to the next the same crap. Without the political means he would not have that sort of wealth and he certainly would not have a car company unless he paid for it.

Perhaps this country would have more innovative people starting companies and taking risks if it didn't so highly tax people to fund the business ventures of billionaires. Political planning leads to failure and that's what Tesla motors was destined to be as such.
