Traction Control & Stability Control Warning Lights (2009 LaCrosse)

Apr 08, 2012 3 Replies

Hello,

I have a 2009 LaCrosse. Very low mileage; only about 25,000. Car is always garaged at night.

Last Spring, the warning lights that indicate Traction Control and Stability Control problems came on, often, and the Dealer replaced some module under warr.

No problem since then, until-

A few days ago, they came on again, but only this once; not again since then.

Is this a known problem with the 2009 LaCrosse ?

It only came on once since a few days ago; should I "insist" that the module be replaced again now ?

What is actually happening to cause this, do you think ? Is it just "random", or likely the module is, or is going, truly bad again ? Why ?

Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated.

Thanks, Bob

Maybe you were in a situation where the stability function actuated because the conditions were right for it to happen.

This happened to my wife just the other night on a different make of car. She was scared because it had never happened in the 4-5 years she has had that car, BUT there was wet weather, etc, and it seemed to happen because it was supposed to happen.

My best guess

Hi,

Thanks for help.

Nope, it was an error msg. that they both weren't operating properly.

Regards, Bob

Could be the module. But it could another of the other

1000 or so parts in the system. Could be rats in the wheel sensors, too.
