I was in the process of recharging the A/C on my everyday vehicles (all GM products) and decided to do my '96 F250. Trouble is I don't know where the low pressure side is. Is it the hose closest to the radiator or is it near the can near the firewall? My recharge fitting hose does not seem to fit it, though..is GM A/C fittings different than Ford? Thanks for any help!

The high pressure is between the compressor and the expansion valve and runs over the condenser in direction of the vaporator.

The low pressure service port should be right on the accumulator.
If you're charging with the correct refrigerant, the quick couplers should fit. All R-134 fittings are the same between vehicle brands.
The low pressure fitting on a 134a vehicle is universal. Should have a blue cap and your refill can hose should clip right on. Generally you will find the high pressure side coming out of the compressor going to the condenser in front of the evaporator. You will find the low pressure side somewhere between the exit on the evaporator and the line in on the compressor. I don't know your vehicle so I can't tell you exactly where to find it but I would suspect it to be the one on the can near the firewall (the can is the accumulator.. liquid refrigerant accumulates there and boils off back to its gaseous state so that liquid refrigerant doesn't enter the compressor and damage it)
