Car is 1998 dodge caravan 3.0l basic. It is the downstream sensor and fairly easy to replace. What I would like to know is will the check engine light stop reporting error after the part is replaced without having to be reset? Thanks in advance. Geo.

If the problem is fixed and after a certain amount of re-starts, (think 6-10), the computer will turn the light out.
