You must not have a teenager. The usual explanation after a DA move is something like "I don't know what happened. I was just driving along when......[enter BS here, like Bigfoot jumped out in front of me, or a rabbit hopped out in front of me and I swerved to avoid it, or ......]. I've had a lot of experience recently with excuses that begin with "I didn't do anything, it just broke."
