1992 Cressida Grande Is the 7M-GE engine an interference engine? In other words what happens if the belt breaks.

If you trust the Gates Application Guide

then the engine is a non-interference engine. Therefore if the belt breaks, the engine will stop, but will not suffer any further damage (unless when it breaks you happen to be sitting on a railroad crossing with a train coming, pulling out in front of a semi, etc). Ed
