'88 Supra stumbles on warm start

1988 Canadian model Supra. Replaced leaky filler neck, and now when the engine is warm the car stumbles or stalls on start. Doesn't appear to be soot coming from tailpipe. Rev the engine a couple times and it smooths out. Pulled the EFI fuse but that did not work. Disconnect the cols start injector?

Check the filter?

Make sure the distributor ignition timing advance is working.

Check for vacuum leaks. You should have at least 14 in Hg at idle.

If disconnecting the cold start injector clears up the stumble, make sure it is not getting voltage after the engine has started. If it is not and disconnecting it clears up the stumble, the injector is leaking.

Sure I have! It's there! ;)

It only does it warm. The filter is above the rear diff, behind the fuel tank. I have had the fuel tank out three times now. We have NEVER been able to loosen the fittings for the filter, they're rusted solid. So, I'm really hoping it's not that.

My other thought is to cut the filter out, replace it with fuel line and move the filter to a more accessible location...
