Alarm/Imobiliser - Toyota Celica 1996/96 M

Help/advice required.

My alarm is a Toyota factory fitted Alarm/Immobiliser, the issue is that I don't seem to be able to turn the alarm off or start the car with it going off.

I have a rectangular key fob with a black and red button at the top of the fob. The black locks/unlocks the doors and sets the alarm/immobiliser on/off whereas the red just sets the alarm off and presumably immobilises the car at the same time.

I hadn't started the car for a while and needed to recharge the battery, I've also changed the fobs batteries but still cannot seem to turn the alarm/immobiliser off.

The alarm is situated under the bonnet in the top right hand corner.

I tried disconnecting the battery for a few days and removed the key fobs batteries as suggested might result in an alarm reset, but still have the issue.

Any help/advice would be most appreciated, any wiring diagrams for the factory fitted alarm would also be helpful.

Thanks

Mark
