The piston jack supplied with the 2002 Tacoma will not lift the truck enough to remove a front tire. Yes, the jack is being used in the correct place, and the tires are the same size as the originals. The jack is about 2" shy of being useful. No 2x6 block of wood was supplied with the vehicle. Some engineer's head would probably be ideal for this purpose.
