Avalon Brakes

I have a 2002 LXS Avalon - and the dealer recently replaced my pads with "original equipment" Ceramic pads, and turned the disks ON THE CAR. The brakes are as smooth as butter again. I've now got about 1,500 miles on it since the brake job, and there's been no problems, and no pulsing.

I'm keeping kids with air wrenches AWAY from all my wheels from now on. If a tire dealer wants MY business, they must be willing to use manual torque wrenches set to toyota factory specs, and demonstrate that their mechanics know the proper way to criss-cross back and forth around the wheel, gradually tightening the lug nuts to avoid warping my new hard-earned brake components..

Some people believe that the pulsation is caused by brake pad residue that gets embedded in the disk and not by overtightening lugs (except for extreme cases of overtightening).
