Lockpick3 vs. 3+ --- Installation questions... =)

Aug 26, 2007 1 Replies

Hello there.. hoping someone out there has been down the Lockpick path and can offer some assistance. My car is in pieces, so I'd appreciate any/all help!!

Issue/Question: I mistakenly purchased the Lockpick 3 instead of the Lockpick3+. The

3+ allows you to unblock the nav stuff, which is what I wanted to begin with! I have already installed the Lockpick3, but before I reassemble my car (dash, monitor, radio, etc.), can you tell me if the 3+ means just one additional component more than what the 3 provides? Meaning, I'd like to be able to reassemble my dash with all of the 3 components, then have Coastal Tech provide me with the addtional 3+ piece (which I understand goes under the seat).

Conversly, is the 3+ a totally different set of components? In which case, I'll need to remove all the 3 stuff and reorder the 3+.

I hope this all makes sense. Again, I'd greatly appreciate any/all help.

Thanks,

Jimmy

Ultimate Lockpick 3 (which is what you just installed) and Lockpick 3 are two separate things. Ultimate Lockpick 3 adds A/V in and unlocks Bluetooth entry while driving. Lockpick 3 is for nav only; it removes "I Agree" and unlocks nav so you can use it while in motion.

Go ahead and reassemble your dash (of course, now you can disassemble it in 5 minutes) and order Lockpick 3 and install it under the seat.

Notice that they offer "Ultimate Lockpick 3 w/address entry option"; that's simply a bundle of the two pieces, for a small savings.
