I just looked at Saturn's new SKY sports car.
I was surprised that it looked so much like the last MR2 Toyota made for the US market...albeit a bit cheesier.
Geez, a more obvious rip off of styling you could not have. At this point I'm looking at Saturn as not all that innovative, unless innovative equals cheap knock off they sell at full retail of the original.
It also strikes me a strange coincidence that Toyota stopped making the MR2 right when Saturn comes out with the SKY.
In all fairness, SKY isn't a bad looking car, just a tiny bit cheesier than the Toyota. And who knows how the quality might hold up in the long run?
Even the name... (MR2) Spyder...you think of an 8 legged super gripper that can walk upside down, and go in any direction in a split second if necessary.
SKY...? what the f*ck does that mean? Please Mr. truck driver, don't run over me while I'm enjoying my view of the sky?
This is what really irks me about American auto manufacturers, they feminized the cars so much, even the name can't be nimble.
I'm reminded of the truck commercials... Colodado vs. Tacoma
Colorado; 5 guys sitting in the truck singing "I feel like a woman". wtf?
Tacoma; girlfriend is sick of her boyfriend spending more time with his truck than her, so she has his truck pushed off a cliff...truck rolls over unscathed.
