WOT:- Sky Broadband.

i'm on it, and now its working its ace.

However!

we got th call on 9th august, and i went through lots and lots of questions, and made her get lots of answers from her managers.

finally i agreed, and we got our letter.

and then the day came for changeover....

...except no sky router, so no service, so they shot themselves in the foot cos a condition of the sale was seamless changeover.

Lots of phonecalls asking for username and password, and they refused "its hard coded into the router" or "well we have to make sure you couldn't use an orange router on sky" FFS

so a week after activation, our router arrived, and now its working, and the various websites are all backup and running.

overall, they know nothing, their technical support is crap (i would like a username and password for the adsl please, oh yes sir here you are, your email password!) but my god, it works well.

I'm using UKonline which is to all intents and purposes no differrent except you actually get a proper log-in user name and password which makes using your own kit that bit easier.

So... considering I'm sync'd at 23.5Mbps as you would expect it's bloomin' brilliant !

So... I I could have been arsed to faff around with the whole sky/telephone stuff I'd have saved a couple of hundred ££ a year but as I had it for work, it was easier to go the UKonline route.

Either way, it's excellent. You can hack the sky router to get your user name and password then off you go!
