You mean the fact that for 5 months a year, the bridge is closed and only rowboats, canoes & kayaks can get under it? Boats that will never need a marina? :-) That's a minor detail!

But think of the money that can be spent on a lift bridge, to make the bay accessible to large boats during the five frozen months of winter.
