{OT} Hey Hachi or Ray O

I need your expertise in Japanese

When I was in the Army in the 1950's I was a cryptographer in the Army Security Agency stationed on Okinawa - I know I am going to butcher this but the local peoples used something like "tshu shin tai" as the name for us or our base, I am curious what it meant. Sorry if I butchered it to bad to be recognizable.

I hope this doesn't get "loons" to "looning", I'm curious is all

Thanks Ron

Sorry, I am not familiar with the term. I have heard that the Okinawa dialect is quite different from mainland Japanese.

You're welcome! I think "Shin Tai may be a Buddhist term but that didn't make sense in the context you described.
