Actually, he didn't trick any legislators. Rather, congress incorrectly delegated war powers to Bush, in order to keep their hands clean. You can now see how it didn't work.

It makes him somebody who wasn't bright enough to win fairly and had to resort to trickery.

Notice how Republican Kool-Aid drinker Bill didn't address the point but instead changed the subject.

There was nothing worth addressing. If you'd said the earth was flat, I wouldn't argue with you about it - I'd just be sad for you.

GW Bush has cheated his way through life, as many spoiled rich-kid slackers have, and he's never accomplished anything on his own, except drug use and binge drinking. Even his father thought he was the wrong son to become President, so much so that he publicly cried over the this when his smarter son, Jeb, failed to win the Florida governorship. GW Bush appeals only to ignorant or stupid people or weak people who need to worship a worthless idol.

Now, regarding what those other politicians said about Saddam and terrorism before the Iraq war began, politicians always want to look patriotic, and most Democrats were too weak-willed to dare tell the truth when it opposed the fanatical Republican party machine. There's also a huge difference between supporting the president to make his threats effective against the enemy and supporting the president to let him carry out the most foolish war plan ever devised. It's also the responsibilitly of the president to be truthful with Congress in matters of war, but GW Bush failed in this respect because he didn't know the truth and wasn't interested in the truth.

OK - now you're making things up. Bush 1 publicly cried when Jeb didn't win the governorship of FL specifically because he wanted Jeb to eventually be President (I think that is what you are implying)? You know this how?
