We've had trucker's strikes before. Back in the '70's or early '80's. I forget exactly when and don't really care because they accomplished zilch.

Drive less. Walk, bike, use the bus, plan and coordinate trips, car-pool and/or work from home if you want to save money on gas (and auto expense, generally). Get a smaller/more fuel efficient car. Using less gas will also help push the price down (or at least keep it from rising quite so fast).

I feel faint...

I'm not sure if it's the shock of finding that dbu agrees with me on something or low blood sugar from the unaccustomed exercise.

Hmmm... I'd better eat a donut, just in case it's the latter. If it's the former... well, that will probably change the next time I post!

Agreed-- besides, in the grand scheme of things, $3/gallon gas is a bargain. My car gets 35 mpg, and I for darned sure would rather pay the $3 than walk those 35 miles.
