LOL - what a post to screw up on, re: spelling! - how about exemplars?

Cathy

of this sort of thing (spell checker run amok

Exemplary! Are you OK, Cathy?

No, exemplars.

Cathy

I wonder what makes that bizare? Is it because women are supose to talk about those things and men arent? I have been reading Men's health for a long time and it is nothing but such stuff.

"Don't Taze Me, Bro!" ... ..

Hubby used to read that mag, but I don't remember his talking about fashion with his friends. I may have missed it.

Actually, as odd as it seems to me, I think it's pretty cool.

Shows maturity.

Only if I want to look like I need professional help.

I have 'short socks' for when I wear socks and sneakers with shorts, and wear the sandles without socks when it's warm enough.

Sometimes I wear my 'driving shoes' outside the house.

They're an old pair of Reebok walking shoes the soles have come off of...

Ah, a man from Massachusetts. They know better.

Natalie

(I give my friends hell when they wear socks!)

My wife and I probably have even less hair than you do. It may be related to us being 34 years old but only 17 years past puberty. I can go without shaving my face for a week before anybody notices.

A chief and a squaw?

;-)

I'm 50, hubby turns 49 this year. Age is not a factor.

Natalie

That must be why I'm not hairy. I'm supposedly 1/64th Choctaw Indian. I do have high cheekbones, and Apache beard.

She asked me why, Why I ain't a hairy guy. I'm not hairy morning noon and nighty-night-night. My lack of hair is a fright. I'm hairless high and low, Don't ask me why, Cause he don't know. It's not for lack of bread Like the Grateful Dead. No it ain't.

Charles the Curmudgeon Repeal the 19th Amendment

Now that sig... yep, will draw women to you like flies to honey.

Cathy

It appears he is attracting your attention...

Apaches have beards? I've never seen any Native Americans with facial hair.

So you were a hippy, once upon a time.

*fwap*

Natalie

Yeah - in the negative sense. The guy is a disaster, & he seems to absolutely wallow in that fact.

Cathy

Oh, come on. You're single, he's single. He's miserable, you're not. You could actually teach him something about life and possibly brighten his outlook. You might change his view of women also. New York isn't too far from Illinois.

A-patch-y beard. (Yeah, I deserve another fwap just for that one.)

Now I'm not taking the fwap for that one. Rush Limbaugh proved my point on the radio yesterday. The growth in big government social programs didn't start until after the 19th Amendment. Most married women tend to vote the same way as their husbands on most social issues, but as we have more and more single women and single mothers, we tend to have more women concerened that the state look after them in times of need, and these single women tend to vote overwhelmingly Democratic, and as a grouip always have. So in effect, the 19th Amendment is a dog chasing its own tail. Because women had the vote, Democrats put up more social programs which caused more women to be single and single parents, which gave them more votes, which caused them to support even more social programs, etc.

None of the other Wilsonian amendments have worked out very well either. The 16th Amendment created the self-serving IRS that has a vested interest in seeing the tax code remain complex and large. The 17th Amendment was supposed to make the Senate more accountable to the people, but has failed at that point entirely. And everybody knows what a colossal failure the

18th Amendment was. Turns out historically, Wilson wasn't a very good president.

Charles the Curmudgeon.

I hope you're both kidding.
