My father was twice Army, and I considered him pretty smart, rest his soul. I have his 1938 Company picture on my wall of honor.

Shh, we have a lot of Former Marines around the building here. My Dad got drafted for Korea, but he turned out to be too smart to be a grunt, so they sent him to the ASA.

One of my friend's son's is going to go to the Naval Academy with the goal of becoming a Marine officer.

Of course he will be one hell of a killing machine....that will NOT be all he will become

Another of my great friends is a 'grunt'. He was drafted. He is NOT below average....and oh by the way he killed a hell of a lot of gooks in Viet Nam before they damned near killed him.

It is fine for us to argue amongst ourselves....but your statement is obviously full of s*it....IMHO

After I was incapacitated one time a Marine carried me several miles back to the base - didn't know him, didn't ever get to thank him....

This is the type of friendly bantering we used to do amongst ourselves in the military. If you took offense, my apologies.

No offense at all....

This is mild compared with how my buds and I talk.

The only people that can't make those comments are the cry babies that have never been in the military.

Just like happens in a bar. Jar Heads yappin at Squids, but have some ass hole like JSB jump in and he dies....

Exactly. I was just stirrin' the pot. Everyone feel free to start breathing through their noses again. ;-)
