Re: {OT} This is so funny, I'm crying (COMCAST wants to be YOUR ISP!!!)

I want to tell Comcast to go to hell by changing my service. So,

>yesterday I wanted to create an on-line account. After clicking the >link numerous times and waiting 5-7 minutes each time, I kept getting >an error to the effect of "We are unable to process your request at >this time." > >So, I just created the account, and went to log in, and it said "No >such user". Then I checked and I had a NEW email saying click here. >Ah, we're in. I went to "Upgrade or Change Service" and was greeted >with "This feature is not available at this time." So, I clicked >another link to look at channel lineups, and got "This page is not >found." > >This really increases my confidence in Comcast as an ISP!!

Why are you still using Comcast after all the complaining you've been doing? Is it the liberal in you?

"Hachiroku ????"...

Our cable company, Road Runner, just switched to new digital boxes. They SUCK. When you try to get on-demand stuff, you hold your breath, hoping it'll work.

THEN if you do get it to work, and have to pause it for any reason, it won't resume!!! You try to start over, and it's "unavailable"

I'm planning to write a searing letter to RR for that shit. We pay too much for this lousy service.

To be fair, though - their internet is great. I have never had a single problem with it. Ever.

I feel your pain - sort of.

In my area (Tucson, Arizona) Comcast is a good ISP. The online stuff is fast and rock solid (except occassional Usenet outage); same with the TV and phone. They do, however, have a terrible Internet site with both poor performance and lousy design (imo anyway). Ironic, isn't it! jor
