Sienna CE vs LE

It seems that most posts on the Net regarding Siennas are about loaded models. Does anyone have experience with the low-end trim model, the CE? I'm not wanting any of the options packages offered with the LE, so the CE (even with roof rack and cruise control added on) is considerably cheaper.

The differences between CE and LE mostly seem like small convenience features like "license plate garnish" (I love that one), folding passenger seat, etc. I do hesitate at losing the privacy glass in the back, and wonder at the "heat absorbent" glass in the front. Not sure if I should worry about the engine immobilizer.

Did anyone shop the CE? Is there something substantive that I should worry about?

I do know that Sienna CE and LE does not offer any advance safty options at all which every trim of Honda Odyssy comes with standard. For example, 3 row side curtain air bag, VSC. That is another reason my next van will be a Honda, not a Toy any more.

The above paragraphic is not true in regards to the LE. Basically the only options you can get with the CE is Cruise Control and a roof rack.

With the LE, option #3 includes driver and front passenger seat-mounted side and three-row side curtain airbags (among other things). Option #5 includes Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), traction control (TRAC), ABS and 4-wheel disc brakes (among other things).

There is no AWD option on the Honda, which is another reason why my next van will be a AWD Toyota Sienna.

We have a 1999 Sienna CE. I has everything we need. We don't any issues with power sliding doors because it doesnt have them.
