Hi, I have 02 Corolla 58K and recently I started noticing an occassional squeal when releasing the brake. I traced the sound to right-rear brake (I can make the sound happen when releasing the parking brake).
So first I though about dismantling the brake but I could not even take out the brake drum. The drum has 2 screw holes and I think you are supposed to put in a nut and tighten it to push the drum out? Last I checked the Toyota documentation I didn't find anything specific regadring this .. even what is the size of the nut .. metric or SAE.
I looked up some articles which indicated that the rear brakes are driven by a wire right .. so could it be that the wire needs to be greased. If so is there usually a hole to force the grease in? Any advice in this regard would be helpful.
Thanks in advance
