03 Camry Brakes

3 months ago I traded my 95 camry for the new corolla, thinking it would according to all, have excellent gas mileage. Even after the break-in period I never achieved 28/38. Then the sulfur smell was a another issue (they say it is the gas that is at fault). I should have never traded down but traded camry for camry. I ended up trading my 03 corolla for a new 03 camry last week. I have been very pleased with the new camry however, after only 40 miles on the car, when I applied the brakes they made the steering wheel vibrate during moderate-normal stops. I took it back to the service department at the dealership and they ended up turning the front rotors. Everything is fine now. My question is " Is this typical for a new car,(I never felt it in the 03 corolla) or do you think it is the sign of things to come? Thanks D

Well, I would have had them replace the rotors. After all, it is a new car. After 40 miles, you now have a new car with used rotors
