2 regular keys and 1 valet key (does not open trunk).

I have never yet tried this with the valet key, but I would think that it will not open the glove compartment; once inside the car, the trunk release is accessible as are the contents of the trunk compartment.

The valet key will not open the glove compartment.

As far as getting into the trunk - you can lock the trunk with the master key from the outside trunk lock by turning it counter clockwise. Clockwise would normally open the trunk, so turn the key the other way. Then you can not open the trunk from the inside trunk release. I do it all the time, that's how it works.

TNX fer that info Steve. I will try that with my '91 CamryLE. Hmmm.... What about the fold down rear seats?

Thanks for info, Mark.

Does everyone agree that if I buy this car in used condition I should insist on receiving 2 regular keys and 1 valet key?

I'm not at my car now, but I remember that if you look somewhere near the back of the rear of the rear seats, there is a place for your master key to go into, so you can lock the fold down seats so it can't be folded down.

I have a 2000 Camry LE, park my car in NYC parking lots all the time, give my valet key to the valet, lock my trunk and rear seats constantly.

Most people don't even know about the locking the trunk from the outside trunk lock, turning it counter clockwise so the inside trunk release won't work. I do it all the time.

In my 2000 Camry LE, the glove compartment is not opened by the valet key, the inside trunk release is disabled when the trunk lock is turned all the way counter-clockwise, and the rear seat opening is disabled by locking devices set by hand inside the trunk, on the seat-backs of the rear seats. Not by insertion of the master key. Read the manual.

If someone here asked a similar question about their 2004 Camry, I could understand you telling them to read the manual. If you were really fair Ken, you'd realize that anyone asking a question about valet keys and locking a trunk in a 2000 Camry didn't buy this car new from a dealer in 2000. They probably just got the car, used of course, and it's not unusual to get a used car without a manual. Hence, the reason for asking a most simple question.
