I'm trying to check if my charging sys on 90 Camry- V-6, is work correctly. What is the nominal Voltage at Battery when car is idling No load idling With Lights On
From my own observations with a relatively new fault-free battery and charging system at moderate ambient temp.
Because alternators work efficiently at low revs (unlike generators),..the volts should be between 12.8 and 13,5volts
around 12.0v - 13.0v
13 - 14.2v13 - 14v
12.6v +- 0.3v
12.4 +- 0.4v
