98 4cyl camry 145k-brake pedal sinking

i have not noticed any brake fluid or any leaks. brake cyl fluid level proper. if it is worn front pads wouldn't there be a loud scapping noise from the pad warning thingamajigs? rear pads repl about 30k miles ago. pedal seems to go very low and when i stop and pump it up it returns to a more normal height. it now travels a good 2 to 2.5 inches. it feels as if the pedal will go all the way to the floor. a really queasy sensation and possibly fatal. i changed the front pads about 30k miles ago. do 60% hgwy driving.

If the fluid level is ok, try bleeding the air out of the brake lines. if that does not fix it suspect the master cylinder.

As rob mur said, but get it looked at now, your master could fail and No brakes....
