camry speedometer help

I just recently destroyed my friends speedometer by shooting a paint ball at it on accident and i was gonna buy him a new one but im not to sure what year it is...what i do know is that it is a V6 XLE automatic and what i noticed is that the body style looks like the 92-96 but the back of is car which is part of the trunk lid is glass material and not the style where its painted to the color of the car (maybe that would help in determining the year?). So When i was looking for speedometers on ebay i noticed many listing said either for 92-93 speedometer or 94-96 speeometer but the two styles look exactly the same on various listings so what i wanted to know is that would it matter if i bought a 92-93 V6 speedometer or a 94-96 V6 speedometer.

Get the VIN number of the car and ask a dealer for a part number and price. Some V6's were made in Japan and some in US, so the part number could be different. Then make sure you get the correct speedometer.

The 92-93 tail lights went all the way across the rear, and in 94 the put some paint between the left and right tail lights.

Sounds like a '94 XLE. The "glass material" across the trunk is really a clear / black plastic trim.
