Son & wife bought 2007 Camry SE V/6 today. I will have to check it over in daylght, I did notice that it has carpet on the wheel side of the rear wheel wells. I mean on the outside of the car. Will let you know abou all the features. Looks to be a great car. Scott

Sorry, I STILL do not understand why ANY manufacturer would put CARPET in an area inches away from tires which often spin up water, mud, snow, ice etc.. A previous poster DID say that the carpet was on the OUTSIDE of the car, facing the wheel. NOT inside the trunk.
Carpet in the wheel well? Wouldn't that soak up moisture, salt and other less desirable things from the road?

Precisely. I can't imagine having carpet in such a place.
