In the car's driver handbook, at least in Australia, there is a horizontal bar-graph which tells you which oil multi-grade and even, single-grade (do they still use them?) to use versus ambient temperatures or seasons.

If you dont have a h/book, go to a Toyota place or someone else who owns a simliar vehicle. They are country specific I suspect, as in mine, 20w-50 covers a wide temp range,..cause its a hot climate with no below freezing conditions except in the few higher altitudes snow-fields..
